nUgZ's new 10g

Here is one of my new tanks. It's a 10g AGA that will house various types of Zoanthids/Palythoa and various mushrooms. The sand is live Tahitian Moon black sand and the rock is from my old reef tank. It's got a long way to go, but it'll be nice in no time.

Lighting- Current Orbit 2x40 watt PC fixture with 2 lunar lights.

Flow- Aquaclear 70/300, Maxi-Jet 400.

Livestock
Large Hairy Mushroom
Trimma tevegae(Trimma goby)
Porcelain crab
Pistol Shrimp
Zebra Hermit (2)
Scarlet Hermit

Don't mind the crappy pics.

I thought this was a nice shot of my Trimma goby. It could be sharper, but I like it regardless.

nice tank...i was looking at your frag tank before and is that the one that has the 150 watt MH with the 2x65 watts actinics. if it is do you have problems with algae and overheating. someone offered me that for my 20 gallon but i dont want to have problems with that.

I've got 175W Mh on my 12g and it's working out fine. I've got it mounted about 10" off the surface of the water and it stays under 80 degrees.

Tank's looking great, nugz!

Bobby- Thanks. That is my frag tank with the 150 halide and 2x65w PC's. I don't have any more of a problem with algae as you would in any setup. I use the magfloat to scrape the glass every couple of days, but there is never much buildup. Just enough so you can tell it's there. As for heat, it's under control as well. I try to keep the ambient room temp around 73-74 degrees. The tank has an open top and the temp only sometimes reaches 82. That's only on really hot days. If someone offered it to you I'd say go for it. On a 20g it would be great. That light will be going on my 33 cube once I get it set up.

Tyler & Keith- Thanks a lot.

I know I said this was going to be a Zoanthid/Mushroom tank, but there will be one exception. As a rule I don't keep leathers, but this is supposedly a Tyree toadstool.

Very nice, Nugz.

You and I have very similar projects going on.

I'm doing a nanocube with zoa's and shrooms only.

Who knows? Maybe we'll end up trading some frags someday.
