Cloudy water won't go away
Hello all, so i have been having this problem gor a wild and and idk what else to do really, i already did like 2 30% water changes and 1 50% and it is still the same, water parameter are good, corals and fish seem happy but the cloudiness is just super annoying and frustrating. Any help is appreciated. Tank is a 75 gallon with a 40g sump.

Yes, it would help to have some details, especially how long the tank has been running.
Cloudiness is either, algae bloom, bacterial bloom, or microbubbles.

is water cloudy due to suspended particles or is it due to micro bubbles?
if it has been cloudy for a while, it could be micro bubbles. as suspended particles should eventually settle on its own after a while. |

The water is very cloudy, don't think is because of suspended particles...i think is a bacterial bloom, but i tackle it already with no results...had tanks in the past and never had this problem.

White cloudy? If so, then it's probably bacterial. It may just take time. A UV sterilizer would do the trick, if you feel like owning one of those.

Are you carbon dosing? Are you running a skimmer? How about GAC? If you have some mechanical filtration in place a flocculent product like Seachem Clarity can help clear up cloudy water.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, i did run gac but very shortly and i do have a swc mini s cone skimmer on the sump...at the end i bought a uv, it's an 18w and omg it has been running for 18hrs and the water is already like 80% better than how it was, really shocked when i came from work today and saw how fast it worked. Probably gonna leave it on for a couple of days and then turn it off and see how the tank runs.
