Xtraktritacal- my blue S. haddoni is currently aprox. 13" in diameter when fully extended. My anemones get larger when fed heavily.
Here is a picture of some S. tapetum prior to shipping. The very colorful pink foot and column is clearly visible on the individual that is overturned.http://reefcentral.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=7616

aren't the haddoni the ones that eventually begin eating whatever fish happen to venture in close to them? or even their host clownfish? i have read this before but cant remember where.

also, what lighting requirements to the colored haddoni need?

Question for those with the colorful carpets. Where did you get yours, LFS, MO, etc? I've never seen anything but the normal colors local and havent seen too many online. Marine Depot list a blue carpet as does LiveAquaria but dont show actual speciems. I havent seen anything but Roses at Cquarium anymore. I know someone had got a red carpet from them before. Thanks!

Oh, here's my 16" Green Haddoni. Not the best pic as my MH blew and its under just an Iwaski so its yellowish.

Unhappy Well I have some bad news...

I mean its nothing tragic...
But my carpet that had settled in so nicely(or so I thought)
has decided to relocate!
after claiming most of the left side of my tank, it has slowly moved to the center of my tank where I had made a nice cavern with the L/R. (so Im thinking, Cool!)
looking under the tank i can see its foot is completly to the back of my tank and now it's barley visible from the front. and it took a frag with it!

Time to take the background off and turn the tank around???
anyone ever heard of a bow back?!?!

This pic is a day old he's still shifting...

He is addorable and about 2 inches across. They called him a zebra but no stripes, but sure is a beautiful yellow color.

Hey I just got a blue carpet and wanted to post a pic, but I couldn't. It says that the file is too large (needs to be less than 512 kb), but the pic is only 92 kb. Can somebody help me out?

I just got one today.

It's a small one, about 3" across.

arcab4, thanks, i'm really glad that it has regainedits colour for it was also bleached when i first got it, and posted pics of it when i first got it. it has regained its colour faster than the other 2 green ones and i hope it will get a bit more blue with time.

John,

If you're still looking for a multi color s. haddoni, Eddy got 3 of of them in. I spoke for one, the larger of the remaining 2 Eddy might keep, the 3rd is for sale. Its just like Arcab4's. Red carpet, Orange Radial lines, and baby blue oral disc.

This guy started on the left, dug in and worked its way under the my live rock to the back, up the back glass and here he sits atop his thrown!

Im sure Its not done!
Could it be craving more light, or maybe came up to eat? I did offer some brine shrimp and squid which it took...

Does your tank have halide lighting? If it is just flourescents, he may very well stay up there. He is trying to get to the light.
