Hey guys I just wanted to give you a quick update, I returned the fish on Thursday morning and I got store credit, ended up picking up a purple fire fish, the fish is doing good and he comes out whenever he sees light, he also loves frozen food but it's not a big fan of the Spectrum pellets, also I think the tank cycled, ammonia is still zero and nitrite it's undetectable through the top, but if I do a high sensitivity test (according to salifert instruction, the high sensitivity test is for cycled tanks and ponds) I get 0.05, so I'm guessing the cycle is finished, if you guys disagree please let me know, I'm going to do a 10 gallon water change tomorrow, to get my pH up and my nitrates down, Will post a picture of the fish soon, thanks for all your help guys.
This is with room lights, LED's are not over the tank yet. Last edited by flea1; 05/05/2012 at 12:14 AM. |

Glad to see you aren't having any problems. From those pics it looks like your using dry rock. Just be careful adding new fish, you don't want to do it too fast. You want the bio filter to grow in your tank, dumping 5 fish in at once could easily over ride it and youre not gonna have a good time
