Although I did not expect update this thread until later this month, I needed to ask.... Does anybody want to buy a brand new Apex Classic? I won’t be needing it anymore!

I love those dimensions! Seriously jealous here, took my tank down and I don’t think I will set it back up. I want to go bigger.

Greg, as always excellent equipment selection with your incredible knowledge and experience will make this a build and tank I will gladly follow. I see the makings of another TOTM in a few years.

AGE really make nice tanks. I do wonder how they satisfactorily bond the glass sides to that PVC bottom though.

Thanks bud, that is always the goal. I learned a lot with the last tank and can’t wait to simplify and apply that knowledge. I just won’t settle for mediocre!

I am told that AGE and Planet Aquariums are the only ones who know how to do this properly and they are not sharing the process with anyone else.

More boxes arrived today but none big enough to be a sump...

Well it wasn’t the sump, however I can confirm that the lighting decision has been made!

gcarroll' 260g SPS reef

it looks great. I am looking into having a tank built with similar specs. Is there a particular reason why you choose this overflow? Would you mind providing more pictures and detail? I look forward to seeing it all set up.

Unfortunately not. It should reach our shores in less than 2 weeks.

The tank was built with another house in mind. Just when I was about to start setup, my wife said she wanted to move. The main reason for that type of overflow is the tank has to be snug against the wall. I only wanted to go 36” out from the wall. Going with an external overflow would have had me making a compromise on the dimensions that I was not willing to make. Also, I will never do corner overflows because I feel they are a weak point when it comes to glass tanks.
