Duncan coral not opening

for the past month my 2 head Duncan has not opened. Its stalk is still electric green and where both heads should be is still grey and fleshy. I've had this coral for over a year and it has never really grown. Its in the sand bed and has medium flow. Lights are 4 bulb high output t-5s. All my torches, frogspawns, trumpets and other corals are doing great. Any help?

How about a picture of your tank and where it is sitting. Since you have other Euphyllia's doing well I'm not worried about your water quality or your light bulbs. Im more concerned about what is next to it and how much flow it gets

Do you feed it? I know my duncan loves to be fed and after I feed, he's happy and opens up all the way for several days. I usually feed it once a week. Although, it is not a requirement; just something I've noticed mine really like.

Most likely something near it is messing with it. A crab or fish picking around it, maybe?

My Duncan was my first easier coral after my sps crash and I was amazed at how many baby heads started after having it less than two weeks.

What are your water parameters? When I have a single coral doing poorly it is usually because it is just a bit more sensitive to something than others. In my case it tends to be either the mag or alk being very low (ie mag at 1000, alk at 5, etc). I've had a lot less issues since I started dosing (and testing occasionally).
