Glass holes to reef synergy

I currently have a 90 with a 1500gph glass holes kit. I've done everything to quiet it down and it just doesn't help. I'm wondering if I can put the reef synergy box in the existing holes? Does anyone have template they could photo copy me? Any thoughts? I've tried to email reef synergy with no reply.

send a message to Modular Marine on eBay. He can definitely make you a stealth style overflow box to your specifications.

Thanks skullv. I have a few of his products. I haven't sent him an email because the ebay store is currently down. I'll send him a msg and see what he says.

Have you tried the baggie baffle on the GH? It took mine from quiet to barely audible. You have to be right over it to even hear it.

Golferbud:

Attached, is a drilling template for the Reef Savvy 18" Ghost overflow. Reef synergy and Reef Savvy developed the design in a joint venture now they each offer a very similar product.
Hope this helps.

Ahhhh yeah I've seen this. Haven't tried it with the 1500 kit but I did with my 700. It worked better than the enkmat! My problem is the swirling and swooshing of the falling water. I've heard the only way to fix that(any durso style has it) is to run a siphon style herbie and bean animal.

Found the synergy template online..now I need to find the distance between my two holes in my glass holes 1500 kit. I used the drilling template(obviously) but threw it away because it got wet. Any ideas? I'm really close to 5.5 on center but not 100% sure!

I'm about to drill a 75g and really like the synergy system but found this one on ebay. Any suggestions or advice from anyone? http://www.ebay.com/itm/161777396674...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I wouldn't buy from that seller. There's been bad feedback about quality. If you buy a ebay box, go with modular marine. Sometimes they get busy and temporarily don't accept orders, but its worth the wait IMO. Modular marine uses CNC to make the parts, and the quality is great.

I just measured the template from a gl*******s 1500gph kit and the drains are spaced 5 1/4" on center.

I have been curios about this, too.
I have a GH 1500 kit on my 120 and am happy with it, but wanted to try a bean animal setup.
In my search, I just came across the new ThreeJole' overflow from GH.
Anyone tried this one yet?

Hi Golferbud: I'm thinking about going the same way than you, from a GH 1500 to a ghost synergy overflow. I would like to take advantage of the GH holes already drilled in the tank. How was your experience on this? I have seen that there is a very small difference between both overflows with regard to the distance between the holes. Is it very important? Could you fit the synergy overflow in the holes of the GH one? If so, do you like how the synergy works?

Thanks in advance
