Thanks so much for the comparison frick! Looks awesome.
I think I'm set on one a350 or a350w set similar to the sky blue in the a150. Now I just need to find $400 under the couch cushions. Oh well, I need to wait for my tank to get more established before I start adding corals anyways. How do you like the coverage over the NC with the a350. Looks like there may not be a need to go with the a350w on such a small cube. |

Awesome. Thanks Frick.
I figure with the intensity of it I could keep it a good 8-10" over the surface to get good coverage while still having enough intensity. With me just getting back into the hobby a month ago after years off I didn't realize how new the a350 is. It's interesting to see them used in different applications. |

Just ordered this light 10% off never hurt! I'm going to hang this on quite high about 18" above the tank over my 20"x20"x20" cube. S/b here next week sometime. Won't have any good pics until my build is nearing completion though.

ok, for a 27 gallon cube shape, 18x20x20 one a350, one a350w or 2 a150s?

The A350 might be over kill. I was growing SPS in this BioCube 29 for 9 months with just a Sky Blue. I have the A350 over it now, but it is dialed down to 30% power.

Yea it def is overkill. But for only 100$ more then the a150 if I can just keep it dialed down I think it may be the best bang for my buck

Thanks frick. I'd love to go with the A150 and save $135 if I could get away with it. In your pics it looks like it had pretty good coverage other than the very tops of the corners.

I think the biggest issue with the A350 is where it's mounted above the tank. If it's only 6" above the water you're asking for trouble. LED's are notorious for burning corals without proper acclimation. I'm going to be hanging mine well above my 20" cube roughly 18" or so. That way I should get excellent coverage and can ramp up the intensity as the corals acclimate.

Frick, how are you mounting the a350? I didn't think the gooseneck was released yet.

I have two A150's over a 24x24x20h. Will that be enough to sustain SPS growth given other parameters are optimal?
