My 40 Breeder Build

After two years of having gone without a tank to bring me peace of mind and some tranquility into my life, I started a new build. I have an idea on corals, inverts and fish already. So here is the run down....

Aqueon 40 Breeder
Reef Octopus Classic 100
2x AI Prime's on 18" holders
2x RW-8 wavemakers
Finnex 100w digital heater
40# Fiji Pink
30# Reef Saver Rock
RedSea Coral Pro salt

After having filled the tank I added some Purple Helix and Probiod Start-up to the tank to add bacteria and Coralline Algea to help jump start the cycle. But will keep updating on how well the Purple Helix helps populate the Coralline on the bare rocks. But here is a pic almost half filled. Once it clears up I'll get a better picture of the tank.

Interested to see how the purple helix works out. I also have a couple bottles for my new build but per instructions am waiting for ammonia levels to drop down. Adding mb7 at the moment

I'm very interested as well to see if it works. Right now I'm running the SPS AB+ program on my Primes. It's stated you should see results in 4-8 weeks.

With the RW-8's I should have gotten regular substrate. The Finished Pink is blowing all over the place. Am stuck using W1 with a max of 3 on speed. Thinking I may go ahead and get the RW-4's and try them....if that doesn't work I'm S.O.L. ...lol

Just an update....i've transferred everything to a 20L as I was planing on adding a sump to the 40B with an Eshopps Eclipes S overflow. The new additions were 2 Percula Clowns, 2 Green Chromis, 2 Firefish, 3 peppermint shrimp, 1 Skunk Cleaner shrimp and a Orange-tip BTA. But the family and I have decided to do some "Soul" searching and do a little traveling through-out Florida and up the Eastern coast no farther than S. Carolina and return to Florida to settle down while I go through all my PADI Certification classes to become a dive master.

So know i'll be starting to sell everything off piece by piece or as a whole minus the Reef Angel.
