How to dismantle jebao dcp-5000

Hello,

I want to perform some maintenance on my pump but have no idea how to break down my pump.

Can you help?

I’m pretty sure the full front of the pump just twists and comes off? Should give you access to the propellor and other bits.

I have exactly the same pump so I’ll check when I get home from work!

Thanks.

Tried twisting the front but nothing was budging.

Just thought then... try removing the stand at the bottom of the pump, this should just slide out and then give the pump a twist. May need to use a bit of force. Just found a photo and there’s no screws or bolts from what I can see

I removed the stand and gave it a twist but it didn't budge, just didn't want to force anything and break it as I don't have a replacement at the mo.

Have a DCT-4000 and DC-3000 sitting in my lap as I type. Looking at the intake port i turn the front plastic counter-clockwise about 20 degrees then just pull it off. I have taken a bunch of mine apart and it seems the same over the generations and many sizes (minus an original DC-12000 which was bolted from the back).

I have a dcp-5000 and you have to take the stand off and the cover counter clockwise. You have to use a bit of persuasion. It goes in tight. I had to put a lot of pressure on it even when it was new, out of the box. Hope it helps.
