^side by side ammonia comparison of established water and the QT water

Changed out the carbon and just by judging by all the crap that was in there that + the old sponge most likely was the cause of the spike. Also bought a bottle of amquel today and did a half dose.(personally i like amquel more than API's ammo lock)

Are you medicating in the QT or just using it for weaning and observing? Just wondering cause live rock and medication doesnt mix.

I tend to keep my QT tanks barren minus some PVC fittings for cover in case I treat the fish for something.

If medicating is nessasary but I'd rather stay away from it. More or less just for weaning and observing.

The rock in the QT is just some left over dry rubble rocks to give him somethin to perch on rather than a piece of pvc. Im not worried about the rock tbh I'll toss it when done if I treat the tank.

The final 'scape with be finished this weekend! I tried to stay away from making the structures to tall to give the fish ample swimming room while still having plenty of caves and overhangs for perch points.

I've still got alot of holes to plug and gaps to fill but what do you guys think so far?

Gotcha. Understandable.

Glad he's hanging in there. Tough little fish.
