What are the skimmer section dimensions there? The Mini 180 will require 10.65" (270mm) x 10.25" (260mm).
All dimensions including the drawings can be found here in the spec sheet. http://royalexclusiv.net/images/cont...bk_180_eng.pdf

That said, why are you looking at the Mini 180? That tank is only 54 gallons isn't it? The Mini 180 is WAY too big for that display and I would never suggest that skimmer for such a small display. It would never be consistent on such a small display. If anything, the Mini 160 would be a better choice. I have a 100 gallon tank and sold a Mini 180 in favor of the Mini 160 because the 180 would have been too large for what will be a lightly stocked SPS tank.
Specs on the Mini 160 can be found here: http://royalexclusiv.net/images/cont...bk_160_eng.pdf

Ok thanks.. as I expected ....I'm pretty sure I measured 9.75 inches by like 13.5 inches for the sump skimmer section.
I kept hoping it would fit. Annnnd hope will not change the dimensions : ) Reason I was considering the 180 mini as I was able to pick a used one for what I thought was reasonable. I thank you kind sir for the quick reply. |
