Self Cleaning Head
Hi,
Is Royal Exclusiv ever going to offer a self cleaning head for the skimmer lines? Is just getting the Vertex Vectra a better option for now? Thanks |

Here is a teaser. This is not a Bubble King branded self cleaning head. It is however the latest German made AquaDriver SkimClean Helix. It's a low profile, high speed, wet wiper SCH with an optional integrated collection cup wash down system. I have been using the AquaDrivers on my skimmers for several years now and provide service and support for the AquaDriver line here in North America. This just happens to be the latest generation of the AquaDriver that I have in my possession. These have features not available in any other SCH. You will notice the rubber tubing that hangs into the skimmer body. That draws water up into the motor via a built in peristaltic pump that is driven via rollers that pull water through the tube when the motor is running and sprays the water onto the inside of the neck to keep the neck wet and slick when the wiper is operating. Then there is the optional wash down system that rinses the collection cup when supplied by water from either a pump or hose spigot. I have mine connected to a hose spigot that is activated via an Apex controlled solenoid on an as needed basis. I will warn you though.. These are not cheap compared to the Vectra's as these are 3x's the price of those. Obviously not for the faint of heart but there is no other SCH like it. These are a no compromise high quality well engineered SCH that will provide many years of reliable service. If you are seriously interested in one, send me a PM.
This is my original Aquadriver Skimclean with optional washdown on my Supermarin 250.

Sorry for the delay (Vacation). Thank you for all the information. I have the DC 180 RD3, So I figure it is 180mm lid. I think I like gadgets way too much because I like the Aqua driver

Hi Scott
Considering one of these for my Tunze 9410 (160mm lid). Would the Helix 160 fit? I assume it would, but would want to be sure before purchasing a cleaning head that costs more than the skimmer itself... Many thanks, Hugo |

Brilliant. Thanks Scott. Just asked Roger Awaiting arrival of skimmer at the moment. Also sent a message to the aquadriver Facebook page and custom lids are possible too, which is good to know! |
