9010 pump
I was wondering if you have seen any pump failures on 9010 skimmers. mine has died. it is 3 months old. i took it apart and cleaned the pump figuring it had something caught in it. but it was clean. did the screwdriver test and nothing. how can i get another pump? thanks for the help

I have seen only a couple failures and in one case I am 100% sure the pump ran dry. What is the screwdriver test? Does the pump hum or vibrate or do anything at all? To get it replaced under warranty it would need to be sent in for testing first. If it vibrates or makes any effort to move it is just a simple mechanical issue with the drive unit and I can send the parts.

it does not hum or buzz. if i turn it on and try to turn the impelor i do feel a little resistence. if i power the pump up and insert a screwdriver in, the screwdriver does not get pulled to the side. the pump has not been run dry. it would be impossible to do in my system. thanks for the help. i will try to call you tomorow.
