faucet connection

I have a third bathroom in my house that is never used. Instead of punching a hole in the copper, I decided that I would try and utilize the faucet that is in the bathroom. Which adapter do I need to use the regular faucet connection? I have a rather large list of items in my PayPal cart, I just can't figure out which adapter I need. I see the garden hose/laundry sink adapter but this will not work (I don't think). I need something like the hose to JG adapter, but that would go on a regular faucet. Thanks!!!

Matt

Thanks Jim. I just placed my order and I think I'm set. I have one more question about the flow restrictor.

Before as I explained, I had one of the inline restrictors that was adjusted by turning some sort of small gate valve. With the addition of your flow restrictor, does this mean that I will no longer have to manually adjust this? Just wondering. If so that's great!

Again, thanks for your help and setting the example for wonderful customer service.

Matt

Thanks for the order

Hi Jim,

Everything was received as expected today. I got most of the unit hooked up and ready to go except one thing. I forgot that when removing the inline waste restrictor, that I would need another fitting for the RO out. I forgot to order that I'll just run up to the hardware store tomorrow and pick one up (I hope they have one).

Ordered Wednesday - received Friday. Instructions plus other useful information sent with the shipment. A++ for The Filter Guys!

One last question. The 3.2 gallon tank that I have for the unit has been sitting for about three years without use. It's been all closed up, but I'm worried about what might have "accumulated" during that time. I was drained before storage. Should I be worried about this and if so, how do I ensure the water I will produce will be OK? Thanks!

Was your old flow restrictor in the elbow? If you have a Home Depot look in the icemaker department. The fitting is a 1/8 x 1/4 male thread by quick fitting.

I'm unsure about your tank bacterial growth is possible and could be a health issue for drinking after three years.

So there is no way to "flush" it to ensure it is clean? It seems that there would be a way to do this. I suppose I don't really need it anyway since I'll only be using the unit when making water for an aquarium, but I'd hate to see $30 - $40 go to waste. I'll do some additional research and let you know if I find anything. Then you can tell me if it makes any sense. Thanks again Jim.

Matt I don't know but if it is only for aquarium use it might be OK but for drinking I would use caution. On drink water and aquarium systems we perfer no using the tank water for aquarium because the tank water is usually loaded with TDS from creep water.
