Any detailed information? Did you completely take out the PC lights? How is the Sunpod mounted, or is it just sitting there?

The 16.5" SunPod is mounted on stock legs. The stock AP12g hood was completely removed to allow access to the rear chambers. That finally allowed me to but a nice HOB skimmer. I cut the front of the hood and mounted the scavenged reflector and endcaps with epoxy. I am running the ballast remotely now, so there is no heat issue. This tank always ran at 84F and I could never get the pH to stabilize. Now that it's getting all this fresh air, the temp is rock solid at 80F (which is where my heater is set) and the pH is 8.3 with lights on, and 8.1 with lights off. It used to run at 7.7 until I would 2 part it up to 8.2, then it would drift right back down. This little mod seems to have solved a whole bunch of problems....and I got way more light!
