1 1/2 inch gate valve - where do ya get them?

1 1/2 inch gate valve - where do ya get them? I check my local Loews and HD and could not find any PVC gate valves. Any ideas for the St. Pete area?

I have not been able to find any gate valves that did not have exposed metal inside.
I asked Aquatic Eco-Systems about theirs, and they wrote me back and said, “They have a steel rod actuator. The rod will rust.”
Has anyone had a problem with this?

I called them and they do not have any in stock right now and could not recommend any place locally to get them either.

Oh sorry o2zen did you call Aquatic Eco-Systems or sisco? Sisco is the only place I know to get good plumbing parts locally.

See all the great info this group has, and keeps it all to them sleves, until poked and prodded and begged for a little nugget of info :-)

It is nice to know that there is a local place to get good plumbing parts.

One thing I have never understood... why do the LFSs not stock plumbing parts?

It's funny that you mentioned keeping things to our selves. Checkinhawk and I have always mentioned his place of work as a sources to get parts - they might kick us off RC - thinking we have stock in the company or something - LOL.

IMO - the LFS has enough problems having room for fish stuff and now try to compete with ACE, Sisco etc. They do carry bulkheads - try finding that at your local HD or lowes - LOL - NOT.

Benf which Ace Hardware had them in stock?

OMG my post has been hijacked by the little blue pill it seems

Yeah, Why not sell hard to find plumbing parts on the website with a tiny profit for the club. I bet once it got out tons of others would be buying from the club as well How about Randy's 2part as well and other less known about things. Called 5 places today and nobody had the gate valves...
