Just got a used Seio, broken part. :(

I got my used Seio 1500 set-up and ready for use. Plugged it in, and no flow! Opened it up and discovered that a long white stick (ceramic shaft?) that goes through the rotor and impellor was broken in half. Grrrr....

Does anybody know if this part available to purchase?

Carbon fiber rod or a stainless steel rod will work. I used carbon fiber rod for the shaft in my skimmer and it works just fine.

Darlene, I assume that's mine? That's weird! It worked when I ran it. Its been sitting for a few weeks so I wonder if it dried out and got stuck and that's why it broke. I have an old impeller from a smaller Seio with an intact shaft. How long is the one that went in the 1500? If its the same length, this will work fine.

I'm sorry about that. I'm very surprised that its broken. If this shaft is the right length, I'll deliver it after church tomorrow to wherever you're at.

Clint

Those Seio ceramic shafts are delicate. It's difficult to remove the impellor assy. due to the magnetic attraction to the motor. I have broken a few of mine and Seio does offer repl. I will have a Seio 1500 available in the near future when I get the nanostreams I want.

Keith.

Thanks everbody for your responses. I'll respond in a bit. I really apppreciate how kind people can be.

Clint, it is the pump I got from you, but who knows how it broke. Looks like it can be fixed easily, so no worries. Even if I had to replace the impellor, you gave me a beautiful yellow tang for free when I was brand new to this hobby.
