Need Help !!!!
my Protein Skimmer's mag 3 went dead on me.... just noticed it, I'm assuming it's been dead for about 5 days, since that's when I last emptied out the PS.
Anyone have something I can borrow while I get me mag3 replaced...? Not sure what the differences in output diameters are but if you have something collecting dust somewhere and it might fit... then please. thanks |

I say it should bne fine...I'd plumb it to allow me to throttle back on the output a bit if I'd had to...A pvc ball valve from Marunaka can help...They also have the black kink free pvc hoses available.
Good luck...How big is your set up?

I think the 5 will be too much for the skimmer. A pump too powerful will cause problems like filling the skimmer cup with water. I wouldn't exceed 400gph for the pro.
