Personally have never had one but they do pack quite a whalop from what someone who has one told me. Give it lots o' room.

Ditto kkyyllee's comment about placement in the sandbed.

i agree with you kylee, but i had credit for the trade in so i didn't want to keep driving back to that store since it's pretty far. driving costs money. i have it trapped now, will have to trade it in again. i have 80 watt pc, it's a orbit satellite on 24 gallon ap. it's been up for just over a year.

3 interesting quirks:

Just when I had it placed, as directed close to a rock so it could bury it't tube, it shed the tube;

Half the time, during daytime, it will disappear in the sand;

yes, it has moved all over the tank until it found this spot, between 3 rocks and just outside an overhang, with alternating non direct flow. Still moves couple inches each way and can irritate most things that get too close, but if you give it a little time it will find a place it likes and really adds to the tank.

Is frustrating to set things just where you wish them to be and it up and moves.

I've read that the tube anemones are primarily nocturnal so that may be why it's often not out with the lights on. I didn't realize that they could move around though - I thought they just stayed where you placed them. Good to know!

i had one for a few years under noraml output 50/50 fluorescent. i had it placed in the sand and had it sitting in a dead spot so everytime i fed the tank all the left over food ended with him. they seem to eat a lot.
