I tried to post a pic of my tank and got an error. I told Dr. Mac and he had his web host talking with me in no time at all working it out. They fixed what was causing the error. One of my tanks is now on there. (look for the tank with one fish in it and nothing else.) My main reef tank was filled with algae so I just took a pic of my prop tank which I put my newest fish in.

My tanks up there as well. Probably the worst tank on the page imo. :-) Has my brand new regal in it.

Not sure if this link will work for long....

How did you know that was mine? Was it that obvious what tank was the crappiest? BTW the fish is already a sick and possibly a big mistake.

The tank is a bit small for a regal, also doesn't look established enough. He needs some hiding spots too. Regals are tough, there are two types (depending on where they are from) that are hardier then the other, you can tell by the color of the chest on the fish, hard to tell by your picture.

This tank is more established and larger then any qt tank I could have set up. It will be going into a 75g complete reef tank in about a month and a half if all goes well.

Mine would be the blue colored belly which have a worse rap in the past. I know all that you said just there. I read a good deal about any fish before I buy them.

I started a new thread here with more info.

Yeah, my brother is looking into getting a regal, the yellow bellies seem to be more hardy. Don't you have some zoos/polyps? Maybe throw a few in his tank just to stimulate his apettite. So your 75g is now a reef huh? Where is the french and SFE?
Oh BTW, did you grad with a bio degree? Because I am about to transfer over to UD into their bio program, just wondering how it is etc.

75 was a reef, but it was put together with left overs from Dave and Philip's tanks and really just thrown together. The tank became over run with all sorts of algae(including hair) and aptasia and bubble algae were spreading fast. I have enough filtration, LR and such to reset it up, but I am leaving the rocks in the dark for a while to help get rid of most of the algae and crap.

Funny you mention the zoos/polyps... I had some on a rock before I put him and the clean up crew in the tank. I figured the glue was weak and the snails knocked them off when I found a little laying on the bottom. I thought he might have nibbled at them though.

The French is in hospital/qt in a 50g with Philip's purple tang. They went through a bit of ich. The snow flake is done it's qt time, but sitting alone in a 20g waiting for the tang and angel to be ready for him.

Bio program is good, but I felt it was more focused on pre-med then pre-aquaculturist. I was in the bio program for a short bit, but transferred to the Ag school where I could get my degree faster and take more wild life related courses. The bio program is a good one for sure, just wasn't for me. Good luck with it. I have another year left because the didn't offer the right classes when I need them. I may see you around campus.

Tank looks nice Andy. I like the aquascaping. Did you have a NO bulb to test the ballast?

Well they said just to mention it in the extra info when you check out online. I am not sure how it will work in the store.

I messaged Dr. Mac, and he said it would be fine for those of us who posted pics of our tank to mention it to them when we go to the store on 8/25/07 and they will honor the free frag credit then.

He (Dr Mac) has some really cool zooanthids that would be OK in there. Have you looked at his site?

I think the only catch to the free frag deal is that it's their pick... hopefully they will take our requests into consideration.
