Pls Show me your squamosa

Its been very difficult over time to get a hold of one. Finally got one from a tear down.

Used to have some back in 2000 but over time they have gotten crazy with pricing.Anyways this squami was solid blue and will be there in a couple of months with some lighting tlc.

Very happy to get a hold of one since they have become very rare lately.

I've posted these pics before but
This one is blue from the sides of the tank but from above more gold with blue rim.
Gasman: Really nice, hopefully the really blue ones like yours start showing up more often.

ez I will- thsi squami is full blue-it came from a tear down and then spent some time on a nano with less than adequate light.
Here's a pic of it a few months back.

You guys are making me want to cry. My squamosa died today. I'd had him for many years and he was huge.

I had a MH bulb break two days ago. My wife called me at work to tell me about it. It had happened before and I couldn't get home for about 12 hours. When I did get home, he was receeded into his shell. I thought maybe water quality was a problem so I did a water change. This morning he was receeded further and I picked him up to look at him, and he had a bad cut from a piece of glass. Tonight, he was stinky and I was doing a water change.

I'm going to rebuild my hood to get the bulbs higher, and will try another one someday. That clam had been with me from the very beginning.

Strange, but clams seem to have personalities after you've had them awhile, and especially after you've moved a few times. You get a feel for where to place it and what it will like and not like.

I've lost fish, and I've lost corals before, but the clam upsets me.

Wade

Sorry to hear about your loss, Wade.

thowell64, that is one spectacular looking clam! Where did you get him, if you don't mind me asking?
