need help?

i just finish setting up my new tank(120"L x30"W x24"H) with one overflow in the back center of the tank. as of right now i have 2x 6100 on each side(left/right),2x6080 on each side(left/right), 2x6080 on back wall face front(left/right) and 2x6060 on each side of overflow facing toward front on back wall. i also have 2 1"seaswirl moving the top of the water. with all these pump it's causing to much mirco bubbles. i want to buy 2 wavebox and cut back on the pumps. how many pump should i need with the 2 wavebox or what do you think is the best way to setup this system with tunze pumps or waveboxs. thanks

Are the 6100's new or used? If they get dirty sometimes the controller will not go to full power. Also, make sure the knob is turned as far as it will go and not just to the end of the graphics on the controller. I think you could cut down to 2 waveboxes on one side of the aquarium, 2 6100's, 1 on each end and one or two 6080s roughly centered and aimed to the corners.

thanks roger, i'll order my wavebox this week, is the wavebox plug and play or do i need anything else. planning on getting the wavebox and the wavebox extenion. bty my 6100 set i bought with 2 6100 and 7095 is about under 3 weeks old. i didn't notice it until a fellow reefer came over my house and notice it. if i put my hand in front of the 6100's it's weaker then my 6080's at full power. could it be the controller?

Is it set to run at 100% and are you sure they are 6100 and not 6000? The pumps are identical except the transformer.

i'm sure it's the 6100's(6100.10 is what's mark on the back of the pump) and they are turn all the way to the right pass the last mark to max. i was reading some post about the pump/controller on this fourm(tunze) and it seems like i might have a problem with my controller not powering the pump all the way. is there a way i can check my pump to see if it work without the controller.thank again and sorry for the problem Roger

They both use motor 6100.10, a 6100 has transformer 7410.602 a 6000 has 7210.202. You can run the pump without the controller.

Are the driver boxes at full power? They have an adjustment on the left side, if turned down this could cause a problem for the controller.
