My Mandarin........weird

My female mandarin keeps making a weird pecking motion with her lips, like shes either kissing or sucking in air. Any one know what that is about?? ALso what temp is best for them???

I would say that it is a feeding action. Both my male and female "peck" at the rocks this way. Not sure about temperature just for a Mandarin. I keep my tank 79-81F
