9010 making clicking noises

Hi;

A couple of days ago, skimmer started making a click, click, clicking noise....almost like icecubes in a glass. Seems to still be skimming, but am wondering if there is something I should do or if this is the first sign of a break down???? Skimmer has been in use for 3 weeks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You could open the base and check the pump. I had some issues with my reefpack. Opened it up and gave it a clean and its been fine since. Check the impellar is ok and there is nothing restricking the pimp.

As Ryan said, this usually means the bearing bush has slipped down a bit and just needs to be pushed back in. Often they come loose in shipping and may work themselves out of socket over time if already loose.
