I just received a shipment of the speghetti rock and was wondering what the red substance in on these rocks? Where did the rock come from?

Do you ever get them any larger than the pic below?

I believe it comes from Australia.

Keep in mind that most of the dead rock was buried at one time so it will need to be washed off. It is probably some type of algae that has been dead for a long time.

This is our first batch of spaghetti rock but it is all pretty much the same size. Our item description says "Most of the pieces are about the size of a pineapple. " This is pretty accurate , couple inches one way or the other.

If you are looking for really large pieces , the Fiji is definitely the way to go.
