I just got an Air Water Ice Typhoon III and I absolutely love it. We did a group order, though, and got free shipping and 15% off. Great unit.

You might want to check out thefilterguys.biz, they have great RO/DI units for great prices. I currently have the 5 stage RO/DI unit from them and I love it! It was only $135! They also have excellent customer service aswell..

Spend a few extra $$ and get a full sized unit no matter where you get it from. It should run you $150-$160 for a good one. Having a full 20 oz refillable DI will pay for the difference by the second resin change. Also make sure to get one with a pressure gauge and handheld TDS meter for troubleshooting.

The waste water TDS is 120 to 125% of the tap water TDS so is much more concentrated. Ryunning that through DI would be worse than running tap water through DI.

The 75 GPD Premium from www.buckeyefieldsupply.com is hard to beat. Good filters, a full size refillable DI, a TDS meter, a pressure gauge, an adjustable flow restrictor if you request it and everything to hook it up for $161. Two small throw away DI filters will cost you $30+ and not last as long as the first DI refill in a full sized unit. Any unit can be portable so thats not an issue.
