help with overflow box!

I just did up a sump with an overflow box due to thew fact i do not have a reef ready tank everything floe\ws ok but it is very loud and gurgles alot any ideas???

are you using a durso type standpipe?

To quite down your overflow box you need to install a durso or stockman style standpipe in the external box. Just do a google search for either one and you will find lots of info.
