Best technique for removing halide bulb?

Posting for Che here, who wants to know what the best technique is for removing a double-ended halide bulb.

150 or 250? 150's are much easier, 250's are hard. I put my index finger under each side and my thumb on top at the ceramic and just wiggle upwards. You can't get too far up on one end before you raise the other. And don't forget to breath.

That does stink. It takes a lot of patience, and certain brand clips are much harder than others. I usually take a flathead screwdriver and loosen the clips on new fixtures. Its insane that they make it so hard, and no one ever changes it!

Aw shucks, oh well at least I was replacing the bulbs anyhow.

Oh, by the way thanks for the Tunze Osmolater advice. Works beautifully again.
