cardinal order
First off I'd like to say that the transaction was very pleasant and that this is by no means a negative thread :-).
My aunt ordered 8 Apogon leptacanthus from DFS. 6 of these were from the divers den section. Those 6 were expertly packed in at least 1/2 gal of water each with black bags to minimize stress. Obviously, they're quite fine. The other two that she ordered sight unseen were shipped in tiny bags that barely held a cup of water with no heat packs. Obviously these were DOA's. Liveaquaria promptly refunded her for those two so all in all excellent customer service but in the future I'd really like to see the HUGE difference in packing quality between the divers den and regular sections of DFS rectified. I can understand that newly imported fish may not be the best of the best, but that's no reason to skimp on packing materials All in all I'd order again from the divers den section with no hesitation. Best wishes tony

tnyr5,
Thank you for your considerate report regarding your order experiences. We are happy to hear how the 6 Cardinals from Diver’s Den are doing well and that you are pleased with their packing. If you could please contact us with your order information we would like to look further in the packaging of the other two that you received. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to checking into this further. Stacie R Technical Support Drs Foster and Smith |
