Actinic supplentation
I have a Sunpod with a 150K metal Halide(14K) sitting atop my 20 gallon high. It runs some 8 hous a day. It has no actinic bub so I was thinking of using(rotating) and old 30 watt floresent fiture I have with 2 actinic bulbs as supplemental lighting when the halide is off.
Thanks

If you can fit it over the tank go for it. On my nanos I have 50/50 bulbs and can't run actinics alone, I miss them.

That is one thing that I TRULY MISS with my set up. The actinic really reflect off of the water in a top down view tank, so I cant do it.
I miss how it would make the corals really pop! If you can do it, I would, you will really notice a difference in your coral viewing. good luck
