Southdown play sound

Does anyone have any more southdown? Does this stuff even exist?

They havent sold it in the south in quite a while, supposedly some home depots up north still carry it, though I travel the country and havent seen it.

sytanek is correct. the stuff no longer exist. The company playright was sold quite awhile ago and no longer sells it like that. People had found out that there was some paver sands that were aragonite with the vinegar test, but they no longer make that either.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am aware that southdown has not been sold in a while. But you never know who has been saving some for that special day

go to your local feed dealers and ask for granular calcium carbonate bagged by Franklin Mine and mineral. It is a chicken shell hardner. Comes in a grey bag with blue lettering. 50# bag for 6.25.
It is distributed in lakeland so you should have no problem locating it.

Good suggestion, if you google for calcium carbonate you can find others that have used it as a substrate.

The playground sand was white house or castle or something like that. lol

I think it was old castle....but thanks to sytanek, I now want a white castle burger (slider if you will)

Last I remember, they started putting colored sand in it. The colored pieces were not the same as the aragonite sand.
