Looking for reviews on the Solana 34g AIO
I just saw an ad for the solana aquatium from Current USA and it looks very complete for the price in addition to having a very attractive HQI light.
Whatcha think? Carraig |

There is a thread here "Solano 34g redo" last updated on 2/11/08. If I was more computer literate I'd post the link here, sorry. Search keyword Solano and it will come up.
Feedback has been positive, I want one. Good luck. |

Quote:
-heater in the return resevior -4 unit cooling fan that sits on the back of the tank -need to buy a control unit that turns the fan on when water reaches a certain temp. I think it is one of the best all-in-one tanks out there. Hope that helps |

If I were gonna get a Solana, I think I'd just get the finnex or the CADlights instead....plus I just dont want to give Current USA my business, not after they went to market with their Fission skimmer...I try not to reward junk peddlers with my repeat business.
Tha said, I hear reatively good things about the Solana...IF I were gonna get it, I'd get the one with the Sunpod or whatever on top. |

I have one and its great. Skimmer does a nice job. The back compartment is big enough to get your hands in and Looks nice to boot. Thick gass for a smaller tank etc. I started mine with PC but with it being a 20" high tank, MH may be needed if you want corals. I went for a sunpod rather than the diskoball light. Plus extra water flow and a heater are needed.
I have a progress thread on here somewhere. for $250-300 its a great deal. |

i saw one today in my LFS and it was pretty impressive...in the store. with the big disco ball light you really would ahve to put it in just the right place in your home for it to look great.
all the filtration was hidden well in the back looking stright on. the LFS had the top off so you can see right into the back though. pretty cool tank. i like my red sea max better. its a persoanl preference. my tank is in the corner of the kitchen and i wanted an enclosed hood and a "subtle" look. the wife would not go for the disco ball in full view of the den and kitchen!

check out nano-reef.com for a lot of solana builds, they range from stock to ezcompany's heavily modded rear compartment
