New to Profulix some questions

Ok I received my controller with all the bells and whistles that you can buy for it last week. I will not be using it though until my new tank is set up in May. I was wondering a few things though about it. Most likely 99% of these questions will be found easily but I must of missed them.

1. I have the 6 outlet digital a high amp fr my 400w MH and a 4 outlet bar. In order to use all 3 do I have to plug each one into each other or the 4 and high amp into the 6 outlet ?

2. I have a very diffrent light set up then most. It goes like this

T5s
3pm-4pm 5pm-7pm 8pm-11pm 12am-1am

MH1
4pm-7pm 8pm-11pm

MH2
5pm-7pm 8pm-12am

Will this be possible to do with the controller or do I still need to have the lights on there own seprate timers to be able to do this light schedule ?

3. Do I need a PH controller for my calcium reactor or does the Profulix have a option to act as one ?

4. I have the T5 dimmable ballast from you guys. Are they like icecap ballast where they overdrive the bulbs or more like ARO ? I ask because The color shift in bulbs between the 2 are diffrent.

I know I have more questions but I cant remember them right now lol Old age

TIA

Answer - if you are using a 2 socket high AMP bar (recommended), this is plugged into one socket of the 6 way digital bar and you set the timer according to the socket you have plugged the Hi AMP into. If you want to run them seprerate you would need more than one Hi AMP.

2. I have a very diffrent light set up then most. It goes like this

T5s
3pm-4pm 5pm-7pm 8pm-11pm 12am-1am

MH1
4pm-7pm 8pm-11pm

MH2
5pm-7pm 8pm-12am

Will this be possible to do with the controller or do I still need to have the lights on there own seprate timers to be able to do this light schedule ?

Answer - You can do this but you may prefer to take the load off the digital bar by having two high AMPS

T5 into a socket on the 6 way plug bar
MH1 into one Hi AMP bar
MH2 into another HI AMP Bar

3. Do I need a PH controller for my calcium reactor or does the Profulix have a option to act as one ?

Answer - yes the profilux has one pH control port built in and will easily act as the controller

4. I have the T5 dimmable ballast from you guys. Are they like icecap ballast where they overdrive the bulbs or more like ARO ? I ask because The color shift in bulbs between the 2 are diffrent.

Answer - You will have to refer to Sylvania regarding over driving

Hope this helps

Ok so I need another high amp socket. What exactly does this high amp socket do ? This thing is getting more and more expensive.

But the best controller you will ever have and a life long investment! Once hooked you will never look back!

High AMP ok here again is how it works, I think i will make this a sticky.

The high AMP takes the load away from the digital bar.

There are two plugs on the unit.

One plug lead goes into an existing available socket on a power bar.

The other socket goes into a sperate wall socket on your house ring main.

The plug that goes into the power bar is a switch line.

The plug that goes into the wall socket is the power feed line.

Program the plug bar socket that the Hi AMP is plugged into is controlled how you wish, in this case timer.

Plug your MHO's into the Hi AMP bar, both sockets work together.

When the programmed socket on the main plug bar becomes live, this send a control signal to the Hi AMP bar activating a relay and feeding power to the Hi AMp in turn switching on your MHO's

This has the effect of taking all high loads away from the main plug bar.

Ok gotcha thanks.....

Is there a certain amount of wattage the controller can handle ?

My 1/2 HO chiller and heaters will be on there own Breaker using a medusa controller. The 2 400w MH will be on there own HA Outlets. Then I have 2 vortech possibly 4 if needed. Red Dragon 8.2 return 65w, 4-54w T5's, Skimmer 65w, 4 of your fans, 4 of your dosing pumps, Calcium reactor not sure which on yet, and a phosban reactor.

This sholdnt be a problem right ?

Thanks again

each bar has a total MAX load of 15 amps so you will have to work it from there looking at the ratings of what you are applying to it.

Anythign above 15AMP and you are overloading a single socket on your ring main

Ok thanks

I feel like I am so annoying lmao

Remembered something else I wanted to know.

On the digital 6 outlet, am I able to use all 6 outlet as timers ?

Also the same as the 4 outlet ?

One thing I did not see awnsered in the first post. Is the 4 outlet also plugged into the 6 outlet or is it plugged in seprately ?
