where to buy halfmoon bettas?

A girl I know really enjoys 'saving' bettas from local fish stores, and found out about halfmoon bettas today, and says she would like to get one eventually, and asked me if I could look out for one for her. Has anybody seen any in any lfs (willing to go into the city as well), or know anything about them that would be helpful?
