Convert 4 stage to 5 stage

I currently own a Kent Marine Hi-S 35 unit that has served me well for the last 3 years. The membrane is coming to the end of its life, so I thought this would be a good time to convert the unit to a 5 stage and up the membrane to a Filmtec 75.

What I was thinking is to buy your Refillable DI cannister kit, save the DI itself for the next DI replacement and place the empty canister in front of the existing 3. (It would be first in line from the source water), then just get a new 75 membrane and 75 flow restrictor. The end result would look like: 5 Micron sediment, 1 Micron carbon, .5 Micron carbon, 75 Membrane, Color changing DI.

This would have in theory convert me from a 4 Stage Kent Hi-S to an equivilent Typhoon 5.

Thoughts??
