Glad to see there is a new group!

Taz filled me in on there being a new group, thanks man! After the first group disbanded I was going to the INDMAS groups a lot down in Indy, but things happened and I haven't been able to get down there in over a year.

Sad to say I no longer have any saltwater tanks running, got in a really bad car accident a year and a half ago, and had to tear down and sell everything, including a 240g custom acrylic. I have a couple small tanks breeding cichlids right now, but no saltwater. I'd love to still join you guys/gals at some point even though I don't currently have a tank.

The trouble is I am also currently car-less. Lost it in the accident. Is there anybody around the Kendallville area that goes to the meetings?

I'd love to go to the next meeting but I'm doubting there is anybody from up here that is going that I could hitch a ride with.

I do have a couple medium sized pieces of LR that I would like to get ride of. They were in an experimental setup I was working on, but I tore it down a little bit back. It's two pieces, should still be somewhat alive, been in a bucket with a powerhead and heater. They are about 10 pounds total, I'd just ask $20 for them or would trade them for a HOB filter. They are decent looking pieces, I can post a pic if anybody wants to see them.

That said I am looking for one or two cheap HOB filters, don't really care what they look like, as long as they run. If anybody has one sitting around let me know.

Hope I can meet up with you all at some point!

Ha, I would have been a ghost if I hadn't lived through that car accident. I've been a bit MIA actually. It took about a year after the accident till I was working again, so yeah, during that time I pretty much disappeared. Sold off most of my salt water stuff. Back in the freshwater side of the hobby, as that's what I can afford for now, but I'm having fun with my small breeding group. I'll get back into saltwater at some point, once I have some steady money coming in.

That would be wonderful if you could give me a ride Zach, if you go down to 6 and across I am pretty much on the way. I'll pm you my address, I am right off of main street.

If Zach takes me would anybody want the LR? Trying to get rid of it, I can post a pic of the pieces if anybody is interested.

Here are a few pics of the two pieces. They've lost a bit of coralline algae, but still look okay to me. I guess they have pretty much been 'cooking' in the bucket for a while.

This piece is pretty heavy, here is the top.

and bottom

The other piece, not as heavy - top

bottom

Probably not much in terms of pods or anything living in them anymore, but should still be full of bacteria.

Would like to get rid of them, I was keeping them thinking of setting up a nano, but that's just not going to happen any time soon. Between the two they weigh about 9-10 pounds.

I'll take it if you still haven't gotten rid of it yet.

Sorry for lack of response, been dealing with a lot at home.

The rock lost a lot of it's color... I guess I would ask $15 for the two pieces? $1.50 a pound. Maybe I could ask more as it's not really base rock, but I just want to get rid of it.
