There is an LFS in the Ft Worth, TX area that has a display with an ocellaris using a squamosa as a host.

Mine do as well. I've tried everything to get them into my Carpet but they always sleep on the clam. Doesn't hurt the clam as it as gotten used to it. I'm just glad they aren't nipping at it.

My clam closes up every so often other then that there seems to be no problem yet. Was just currious if this is normal or others have heard of this.

A LFS has a large pair of clowns that host a 15" squamosa. Clowns look great, clam looks great- so this must be a fairly common arrangement.

It took my clam a few weeks before it figured out that the clowns weren't trying to eat it. Now it only closes if one of the clowns really rub hard against the mouth of siphon.
