velocity question for JBJ 28g owners...
How do you have your nozzles set up so that everything isn't blowing all over the place? I can't seem to get the directions right and the stuff on the bottom is billowing like crazy. I'm not currently alternating the current, and the pumps I have are the stock pumps that come with the unit.
Any advice or anecdotes would be greatly appreciated. Peace, Chip |

Well, doubt this will help you, but I've gone BB in my 28. One of my stock pumps is running my chiller then returned to the tank via the right return and the other is just running normally. I've also got an MJ 1200 with a Hydor Flo rotating deflector and a Korallia Nano blowing behind the LR. My nozzle that is running normally is pointed down slightly and is horizontal. I went BB because I was going to initially place a 4" GSM clown in the tank that was notorious for kicking up sand in my 65 so I knew she'd be a problem with sand in a much smaller tank. Any way, hope that helps some.

i'm running stock right now, seldom alternate flow, i've been aiming my flow out and slightly up. seem to get good surface aggitation. nozzles are a little off set. flow seems ok, little weak at the bottom back wall, stock flow could use some help.
