What powerhead to use in a 24g NC to support SPS?
I just bought a 24g NanoCube with the 150w HQI hood. Modded middle chamber, upgraded return pump and added loc line to the return. I would like to have mostly SPS in my tank once I get it stablized. I was wondering if anyone with some nano SPS dominant tank can give me some advise as to what to use for a powerhead. I was thinking of getting a MaxiJet 1200.
Thanks, Laz |

What flow does the upgraded return pump have? I am about to get a Koralia Nano. They are small and look good to me.

maxjet1200 is too laminar and direct to support SPS...plus it is only 300gph...tunze6025 is 600ish and doubled if modded. |

I second the Koralia pumps, the #1 model, I have two in my Nano that is completely SPS dominated and the flow seems to be about perfect for the coral, from the montis to the Staghorns.
The Tunze's are a little pricey for the difference between them and the Koralia pumps IMO |

but, I should add that if money is no object, I would of course go with the Tunze models, they are pretty much the best powerheads out there
