need help fish dying?

ok here's what i did i made up some sw in a barrel and left it for a couple of weeks before using it, secondly i used a piece of hose to pump it out that i used for draining a mud hole i dug and was trying drain it. looking back i realize that the dirt could have chemicals ie:termite or bug spray,fertilizer . i have done a water change 30% and will do more/ the corals are ok and snails,coral banded shrimp seem ok . will running carbon help, any help would be appreciated thx randy

A polyfilter will help too. Tropical Treasures carryies them
