School of anthias
Would queen anthias and lyretail anthias school together?

If you are referring to purple queen anthias then it would be very unlikely as the PQ's will almost certainly die. They are incredibly difficult to keel alive in an enclosed system - even for 'experts'

They won't school in an enclosed system. Hardly any fish do. However, they are a nice addition to a reef.

Anthias don't really school in most home size tanks. They occasionally hang out, sometimes interact with each other.

My anthias (4) and chromis (7) often "hang out", as SD says, together in the faster flow and reform facing the other way when the flow switches.
Not schooling but maybe close to shoaling. It looks cool. |

it also depends on your tank size. lyretails don't do well in smaller tanks because of the internal social aggression in groups kept in tanks less than oh say 125 gallons. if you really are looking for that schooling effect, best go with a more docile anthias species. such as dispars or bartlett's.

and btw does anyone know why there's been a jump in chromis prices?? it's stupid.. i used to be able to get them for $2.99 for 3" inchers, and now it's $4.99 for 1 1/2 inchers... ridiculous... i may as well go fish for them myself..
