It is an aluminum-based binder, which I do not recommend due to the potential release of toxic aluminum. An iron based binder (GFO, granular ferric oxide) is a better bet, IMO.

I mostly export nutrients via growing Caulerpa racemosa in several refugia. I also skim 24/7. I also sometimes use a bit of GFO.
