anyone know how to mesh mod the ER skimmers?

i have a sedra pump on it right now with the pinwheel. this guy isn't pulling as much as i want it to or seen others do. please provideany info. thanks.

I think you just need to cut off the little pins and then zip tie some mesh onto it. Hopefully others will chime in though
