I like Cindy's brain
We finally moved it from the QT tank (following a FWE dip) a couple days ago and it seems to like conditions front and center on the bottom of our RSM. In the short term, flow there seems to suit it and at the moment the lighting makes it look pretty good. I feed most of our LPS so long term, so lighting should be adequate. And I don't really need it to grow too fast anyway. It's already about 6" across and will soon be bumping into the rocks and glass. It's becoming one of those corals - like the Fiji yellow - that I stop to look at whenever I pass the tank. I suppose most of you know what I mean by that. Here's a FTS I took just before putting the brain in there:Almost everything in the tank came from Reef Depot except for the pulsing Xenia which I got from compguy. It's doing really well in there but you can hardly see it because it is behind the rocks near the left. It's visible from a side view. The tank is almost 4 months old. thanks for looking, hank |

Nice but it looks like you will be needing a bigger tank pretty soon.
If you are planning to frag the yellow fugi in the near future pls. LMK |

Yes, but we still need to fill some space on the rock in this one. I'm sure we'll have to frag that Fiji some day. That will be a little tricky as they don't like to be fragged like ordinary toadstool leathers. I'll have to put a zip tie around it and tighten it a little bit every day until the pieces separate. But as long as it is happy where it is at and I can clean the glass when it's shrunk up in the morning, we'll just enjoy watching it grow. thanks, hank |
