I have definitely seen some crazy cyclists on the roads knowing well it was just a matter of time for them.

I am one of those people who has a big pickup truck that loves to suck the gas back.
I bought it because I am always in need of one to haul goods for my store as well as yard work hauling for my home. Fortunately my store is only 2 miles from my home and I do not often leave the area I live/work.

Also from idiots that don't pay attention while looking both ways before pulling out from a stop or an intersection. The key is paying attention. Also from not actually turning their head to look in their blind spot while changing lanes.

I have been riding for many years, as well. Started in 89 with Interceptor 500 and then 750 and eventually upgraded to bigger and more power as my experience grew but fell in love with one bike. The latest ZX7R's.

I honestly think any bike accident ,except for mechanical failure, is the fault of the rider. The only person that is going to watch out for you on a bike is yourself.

Sure, if a car runs a light and hits you, it's technically his fault and you would win in court but that does you no good if you're dead.

You have to always assume every other vehicle will pull out in front of you, run a light, pull into your lane, run into the back of you while sitting at a light and always have to be aware that an animal will run across the road at any time.

People think it's just pure fun riding a bike. It's not. Especially in a big city like Atlanta where I rode for 4 years. 99% of the time should be spent watching every vehicle in every direction that could come into contact with you and always have a plan of action. The other 1% can be spent enjoying the ride.

Ever single day I rode in Atlanta, I encountered a situation I had to react to very quickly.

Man I miss my bike! Anyone have a 98-2003 Kawasaki ZX7R they want to sell?

Small motorcycles and scooters are flying out of the store rooms faster than they can stock them. I sold my Yamaha 250 cc this morning, cash in hand 2 hours after I posted it on CraigsList. That's got to be some kind of record. Had the cash in somebody else's hand by 6 PM this evening. I bought a Suzuki Marauder 800 cc bike. Wow! (except for the gas mileage!). Still, 50 mpg ain't bad...

I use to ride as well but I never had any problems with cars. Never even gave them a second thought.

Motorcycles and I have never been on great terms!

Ist time I was a pallbearer when I was 17 was a good friend who was killed when he hit at fire hydrant.

I have Owned 2 bikes for a total of 3 days. First one, 20 minutes after I bought my tags and put them on the bike. Had a lady in front of me at a traffic light put her car in reverse and backed over me, put the car in gear and drug me and the bike "under the car" for 3 blocks with people honking a trying to run her down. Bike finally came loose and she just drove off. Chalk off bike #1.

Bought a second bike and "before I bought the tags", had it slide out from under me pulling into the service station that I worked in, hit the oil my brother was washing out of the bays using kerosene and hot water on concrete (This was in 1976). Me and the Bike hit the gas pumps and knocked the wind out of me. Did not hurt me or the bike but I said to heck with this, put a for sale sign on it and sold it that same day for a very tidy profit. Wish I did have that Harley back would be a pretty good investment if I had kept it!!

I'm 819. When you start you pick your own number up to three digits and August 19th is my wedding anniversary. While I can't tell you the year I was married I always remember the month and day.

I understand. I've felt the same way about women. Vow to never ride one again and before I know it I'm back on another. Of course that was back in the day. I've had the same model now for about twenty years and all I can say is, get the extended warranty.

Memphis sure did but that was at TGPR ( Talladega Grand Prix Raceway.) In think that picture was taken in 1989.

And there are issues with keeping the same model for an extended period of time. You end up getting to ride them less as time goes by and it is generally very expensive to upgrade to a newer model. :-)

Man I hope my wife doesn't see this.

Went down twice (Talladega and St. Louis) bruised ribs and burns from friction were the only results. I've ridden on the streets for years and never had an incident ( knock on wood.)
