I'm really pleased with the ASM G3. I've been running the skimmer on my 150gallon SPS tank for several months. The skimmer is plug and play and works well.

I'm sure you could find one used for $100-150.

If you're looking for a skimmer for use without a sump I'd recommend the remora pro. It was my favorite skimmer.

Rick

Used is the way you are going to get a good skimmer in that price range. I would say go for an Octopus NW-200 ASM g3 or something of that nature, since you are thinking about upgrading to a larger tank.
