Nitrate/Nitrite question

Current Levels (tested today)

Ammonia 0
Nitrate high range 25, low range 5.0
Nitrite 0.15

Salinity 1.030

I am slowly bringing down the salinity it spiked over the weekend, but I was wondering how to bring down my nitrates and nitrites

2x False Percs
Firefish goby

Nitrites will eventually be converted to nitrates in an established tank. The fix for that is time. For nitrates, you can bring those down in many ways. Light reading can be found here:

Many nitrate test kits show a lot of nitrate when there's some nitrite in the water. I'm not sure why the nitrite is present, but I wouldn't worry that much about it. What animals are in the system? Just the fish and some live rock?

I don't think any of those animals are likely to suffer from the nitrite or nitrate. How much live rock or other filtration is in the system?
