Bulb on Fixture broke.. how long will tank last?

Well I have a big t-5 fixture.. one of the bulbs isnt working.. its not the bulb itself, its something with the wiring.. Long story short.. we have to bring it somewhere tomorrow to get it fixed... I dont have any real backup lighting..

How long can the tank last w/o lighting?

It will probably be good to have the light off for a couple days too. Especially if you were working with some kind of excessive algae. I know it wouldn't hurt my tank to have the lights off for a day or 2 haha
