Using prazipro
I think that my yellow tang has flukes. I dont have a qt so I would have to treat in display tank. I was told you could use prazipro in the display tank. I was also told if you have a heavy bio load it could cause problems. what kind of problems could it cause? In my 55g FOWLR I have 3 chromis, 2 clowns, 1 firefish goby, 1 yellow tang, and some hermits and snails. I also have 40lbs of live sand and 45lbs of live rock. I run a canister filter by life guard. Is this a heavy bio load? and could I use in display without any problems?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with it. I'll have to leave commentary on it to others.

What i meant bye having problems with bioload is if you use this in your display tank you have to turn your skimmer off for a week.I have no idea what a canister filter would do but if you run carbon in it you would have to remove it so the filter would not remove the medicine. The skimmer would go nuts if you kept it running as well so it has to be turned off.

From my experience and from what I heard from other reefers that Prazipro should be safe in your FOWLR. Just make sure you don't run carbon or your skimmer. Your skimmer will just overflow.
Also shake your Prazipro bottle vigourously as stated on the bottle or your dosage will be too strong or too weak. Here is the unofficial Fluke thread on Reefcentral http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...readid=1260067 |

i restarted my skimmer after doing some water change. my skimmer doesn't seem to be working. The foams not coming up is this part of the process ?

Well, as long as the tank is doing well, I wouldn't worry. Skimming is a fairly complicated operation, and there are various compounds that can tweak a skimmer.

Well, I'm sorry you lost the two fish. Hopefully, the rest will continue to be fine.
